Staff Council

A Department of Business & Finance

What We Do

Staff Council sponsors programs, services and events which promote positive communication among staff.

Service to the campus

Members are responsible for providing feedback to their respective areas regarding items of interest, which fall outside the scope of collective bargaining. Staff Council projects and activities are achieved through Standing Committees and teamwork:

Service Projects
Governance
Ways and Means
Ad-Hoc Committees (Staff Mentor, Koffee and Kudos...)

Shared Governance

Staff employees are encouraged to participate in the shared governance process of the university. Each spring a call is put out to staff regarding available committees.

Retired Staff

Retired staff are a valuable resource to our campus. Staff Council welcomes their participation in all Council activities.

  • The annual Staff and Faculty Art Show displays the creative talents of many of our retired staff and faculty. Exhibit is on display each year during April and May in Kendall Hall. Entries are accepted each March.
  • Involvement in the Shared Governance process via a one-year appointment on Staff Council. Recruitment is conducted each year during April-May. Contact the Staff Council office, x6156.
  • A Retired Staff no-host luncheon provides an annual opportunity for retired staff to connect in a social setting. The annual event is held each June at Canyon Oaks Country Club.
