Current CSU, Chico, students, staff, faculty, and emeritus faculty can access the Meriam Library's restricted databases from their homes, or any other remote location.
To access databases from off campus, go to the research databases through the Library ReSEARCH Station as you would if you were on campus. When you click on a database, you will be asked for your username and password. This is the same as your Portal Account username and password. If you don’t have a Portal Account, or if your Portal Account is not working, visit this page for more information and help. If you encounter difficulty with your portal account and are a student please review Student Computing's "Your Portal Account" or call (530) 898-4357. The Chico Password Station manages faculty and staff account passwords and security or call (530) 898-6000 for assistance.
As a CDOE student you have access to the library’s restricted databases (see above), circulating books, and articles in our print journals. Information on how to have articles and books in our collection delivered to you through Interlibrary Services can be found here. If you are having trouble with your library research for an assignment, please contact the appropriate subject librarian for help.
Unfortunately licensing with our database vendors does not allow us to provide remote database access to our retired faculty, staff and alumni. However, access to databases and electronic full-text, as well as to the library’s print collections, is available to anybody who visits the library.
Several of the databases available through our ReSEARCH Station are free to the public. Access to the following databases is unrestricted.
