Martin Luther King Day Celebration in Chico
Trinity United Methodist Church, 6 p.m.
All are invited to a commemoration of Martin Luther King Day on Sunday, January 18, 2009 at 6 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 5th Street and Flume in Chico. If you would also like to participate in the march, come to the Downtown Plaza Park at 5:00 p.m., in advance of the main event. The 6:00 event will feature inspiring music and some brief words by special guests: the new Bethel AME pastor, an Obama campaign organizer, the Peace & Justice Center, and the founder of a West African aid organization based in Chico. Come and celebrate with us! Refreshments to follow.-
